Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM), has implementation of a new format of registration number for business in Malaysia which is containing 12 digit characters for company, business and Limited Liability Partnership effective from 11 October 2019.
The purpose of the new registration number format to replace the various formats of registration numbers generated by the existing system. This would be in line with Governments’ initiative to use a single registration format for business entitles in Malaysia.
The existing registration number be affected with the new format as follows: –
Name : HOO SECRETARIAL SDN BHD
Registration Number : 201701047125 (1261301-P)
Please take note that throughout the transition period, the existing registration number will be displayed along with the new format (Eg: Name: Hoo Secretarial Sdn. Bhd. Registration No: 201701047125 (1261301-P) for a period that will be announced later.
Business entities could obtain the new of registration number format via SSM’s portal such as e-search, e-info and Mydata services.

The existing registration number is still maintained and can be used until further notice.
Every director and officer of the company are advised to refer to the Guide to display the company name with company number on the documents as required under Section 30(2) and Section 565(1)(b) of the Companies Act, 2016 (CA2016).
